Franklin Alberto Panameno

Franklin Alberto Panameno, 26, of Vienna, VA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 25, 2015. Beloved son of Lillian Guzman and Alexis Panameno.  Brother of AJ Panameno and Alejandro Guzman. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his loving girlfriend and so many friends.

 Relatives and friends may call at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 805 Wayne Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910, on Thursday, April 30, starting at 6pm for the viewing, prayer and song. A vigil will be held all night. A mass will take place on Friday, May 1 at 9:30am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with burial to follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906.

 Parking: Please find nearest garage.  Do not park in Whole Foods parking lot.

Mary Louise Wolford Pruitt, age 82, of Olney, Maryland, died on Sunday, April 26, 2015, following a brave battle with a long illness.

Born in Cushman, Arkansas, to Dovie and Price Wolford, Mary excelled as a student, graduating from Cushman High School at 16. She received her R.N. Degree from St. Vincent School of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas.

While practicing nursing at St. Vincent Hospital in 1956, she met the love of her life Ernest J. Pruitt. They were married on August 4, 1956. After 55 wonderful years together, they still held hands.

Mary went on to specialize in maternity and infant care taking a nursing position at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. She retired from Holy Cross in 1993 after 30 years of service, and without missing a day!

A nurturer, Mary loved people, nature and country music. Throughout her work, she was a warm and loving caregiver. In her free time, she enjoyed being outside, going for walks and long drives, watching the birds and squirrels outside her home, and attending local events such as the local Olney Strawberry Festival and the Mountain Heritage Bluegrass Festival. Her love of animals was also apparent as she showered her two cats – Max and Lucy – with constant attention. A loving, caring, and sensitive person, Mary will be greatly missed.

Mary was the widow of Ernest Julius, who passed away in June 2011. She is survived by her children Julie (Andy) Bernhard of Park City, Utah, and grandchildren Sam and Katie, and great granddaughter Gabriella; Katrina (Michael) Andrews of Huntingtown, Maryland, and two grandchildren Emma and Holly; Ernest Pruitt of Olney, Maryland.

The family would like to thank the management and staff of Sunrise Assisted Living and Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia for the care and compassion they gave Mary in her later years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.

NEIL WILLIAM YORK (Age 21)

On Saturday, April 25, 2015, of Bethesda, MD.  Beloved son of Vivienne Sequeira and David York.  On his paternal side, grandson of Carol Collins-York and William Charles York; step-brother of Jordan Lovinger; nephew of Sally Dolfi and Susan York Wade (Monty); cousin of  Max Wade, Chip Dolfi, William Dolfi and Marshall Dolfi.  On his maternal side, grandson of Christine Sequeira; nephew of Celine Corsius Sequeira, Carol Jameson Sequeira (Jeffrey), Raphael Sequeira (Jacinta), Denise D’Auteuil Sequeira (Louis); cousin of Xavier Corsius (Panyada), Linda Corsius (David), Pierre Jameson, Christine Jameson, Thierry Sequeira, Michelle Sequeira, and Thomas D’Auteuil. JOHN MICHAEL HENNESSY (Age 65)

On Wednesday, April 22, 2015, of Damascus Md. Beloved husband of Teri Hennessy; father of Michael Patrick Hennessy; Brother of Tom Hennessy (Sandy), Mary Francis Hennessy, the late Sharon Hennessy; Uncle of Sean Adams; Son of the late John W. Hennessy & Mary A. Fitch: Son in Law of Bob and Ruth Wolpert; Cousin of the McClellans; and step brother to the Fitch’s and the Harbaugh’s. His greatest wish was for his final resting place to be at Arlington National Cemetery (where we would go to visit his dad and many relatives). We were able to make his wish come true. The date is yet to be determined with an Irish Wake to coincide. He was known for helping all of the people he knew and many people he did not know. We all know he had amazing skills in building or fixing anything, and was always the one to call on first. John had such a gentle soul and he always seemed to attract kids and animals (or critters as John called them) like a magnet. We have always been amazed at his patience in all we asked of him. John served in the military and had a deep love for the country and servicemen, and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
